Change of examiner

  • According to Ch. 6 Section 22 of the Higher Education Ordinance gives a student, who has taken no less than two exams for a course or part of a course without a passing grade, the right to have another examiner appointed, unless there are special reasons against it.

    • Please note that a change of examiner does not mean a renewed assessment of an already completed exam. A student who is granted a change of examiner must take part in the next exam together with other students on the course or at an exam appointed by the teacher, course director.

    • The provision in ch. 6 Section 22 HF only gives the right to change the examiner, i.e. the teacher appointed by the higher education institution to make decisions about the grade. However, the provision does not give any right to change other teachers who participate in the examination process, e.g. those who in practice correct various exam questions or conduct a clinical exam.  Decided examiner in your course appears from Ladok.
    • If a change is granted, the new examiner applies as of the next examination opportunity and until further notice.

  • I have failed twice on the same examination part as described below and wish to change the examiner before the next examination occasion according to (HF ch. 6 § 22)
